Responsibilities:

• Responsibilities:
• Animal Care and Welfare: Monitor the health and well-being of dairy cattle, identifying signs of illness or distress. Administer basic treatments or medications as directed by the veterinarian or farm manager. Assist with calving and provide care for newborn calves.
• Feeding and Nutrition: Prepare and distribute feed and water based on the farm’s nutrition plan. Ensure the quality of feed and proper storage of supplies.
• Farm Maintenance: Clean and maintain animal housing and milking areas to uphold hygiene and prevent disease. Maintain equipment, tools, and machinery used in livestock care.. Monitor milk yield and maintain accurate records of production data.
• Record Keeping: Keep detailed records of animal health, treatments, feeding schedules, and production data. Report any observations or concerns to the farm manager promptly.. Record breeding data and monitor pregnancy progress.
• Compliance and Safety: Follow all farm policies, safety regulations, and animal welfare standards. Participate in training programs to improve skills and knowledge.

Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field is highly desirable.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience working in livestock husbandry or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of animal health, behavior, and welfare practices.
• Experience in record-keeping and data management related to livestock.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor and work in various environmental conditions.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends as needed.
