Responsibilities

  • Clean and service guest rooms, balconies, bathrooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to Sofitel luxury standards
  • Perform scheduled, regular, and deep-cleaning tasks including carpets, grout, shower heads, mini bars, air-conditioning, and cabinetry
  • Assist with turn-down service and support with bed making, extra beds, rollaway beds, cots, and accessible room equipment
  • Maintain exceptional hygiene, cleanliness, and presentation throughout the hotel
  • Respond professionally and courteously to guest requests, escalating issues when required
  • Safely use, store, and handle cleaning chemicals according to health and safety guidelines
  • Operate and maintain housekeeping equipment, ensuring trolleys and storerooms are well organised
  • Assist with laundry duties, linen distribution, stock replenishment, deliveries, and heavy lifting
  • Report maintenance faults, damaged equipment, or safety concerns promptly to supervisors
  • Follow security procedures, key control policies, and guest confidentiality requirements at all times

Requirements

  • Previous housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel environment (preferred)
  • Physical ability to stand, lift, push, and pull for extended periods
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods and safe chemical handling
  • Proficiency in English (additional languages are an advantage)
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to follow hotel policies, safety standards, and service protocols
