This position performs work related to electrical systems, including installations, evaluations, troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance, among others. Coordinates the logistics and resources needed to perform the work successfully, following applicable codes, standards, protocols, and processes. Performs preventive maintenance work on electrical equipment and systems to ensure an effective operation. Each work order is fully documented and submitted.
Essential Functions
Responds to AOCC (Airport Operations Control Center) calls to address matters related to electricity such as; repairs of revolving doors, electric gates and arms, sliding doors, problems with lighting, power, wiring, voltage fluctuations, breakers, disconnect switches, panels, receptacles, electrical substations, among others.
Performs electrical work as assigned by the Supervisor.
Uses multimeter (voltmeter) to evaluate, test and identify electrical issues on electrical equipment and systems.
Makes repairs of ramps spotlights, using the designated equipment and machinery.
In all his/her work, follows the processes, standards and safety protocols established.
Document work using CMMS Computerized Maintenance Management System.
Uses the corresponding safety equipment and complies with the established regulations.
Education:
Electrician Certificate from a recognized Technical Institute or College.
Technical training, license, certifications and/or other requirements:
Electrician License from the State Department and Professional Membership.
Experience:
The position requires one (1) year of experience as an Electrician.
