The Office Support Clerk will:


Perform a variety of clerical duties;

Have some latitude for independent judgment and may vary work methods and procedures, within prescribed parameters;

Perform under general supervision.

How does it get done?

The Office Support Clerk is responsible for:
Daily changes with the needs of the specific job and the employer;

Scanning and linking customer documents;

Entering data at a computer terminal;

Operating photocopiers, and other office equipment;

Preparing and sorting mail;

Taking inventory;

Accessing information;

Duties assigned to clerks vary significantly, depending on the type of office in which they work.

Income Support Division (ISD) customers;

ISD field office management and staff.

Minimum Qualification

Eighth grade education.
Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending, and reaching may be required. Direct client interaction and some travel may be required.
